Research Interests

  • Regional T cells in immune responses in the small and the large intestine: The goal of these studies is to understand the mechanisms of T cell homing, the role of T cells in local environment, and the nature of T cell interactions with antigens in gut lumen such as dietary antigens and microbial antigens.
  • The role of microbiota and gut T cells in development of immune responses against vaccine. Adjuvant effect of gut microbiota and other potential role of microbiota and T cells in the gut during vaccination are being studied.
