Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals - Radiation Oncology

I am originally from upstate New York and completed my undergraduate studies at Boston University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. I attended medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Manhattan and during this time I did a research year at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in the Radiation Oncology Department. Prior to joining the department as a resident, I completed my intern year in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. My research interests include using diet as an adjunct treatment with radiotherapy for both early stage and locally advanced cancers including prostate and breast cancers. My mentor, Dr. Nicole Simone, focuses on caloric restriction both in her lab and clinically. Our lab also has an interest in microRNAs and radiation sensitivity. When I am not in the clinic or the lab, I enjoy going to my crossfit gym and practicing Olympic lifts. During the summer you can find me at the beach or on a golf course and during the colder months you can find me on a ski lift!
