Breast Imaging Fellowship

The Breast Imaging Fellowship is a one-year program that provides comprehensive experience in interpretation of problem solving mammography, screening mammography, hand held diagnostic and automated screening breast ultrasound, breast MRI, as well as performance of interventional breast procedures. The fellow will participate in teaching of residents and medical students, and will be responsible for coordinating the weekly multidisciplinary conferences. Research opportunities are available in mammography, breast ultrasound and MRI.

The Jefferson Honickman Breast Imaging Center occupies two floors within a multidisciplinary Breast Center in downtown Philadelphia. Approximately 28,000 breast imaging related procedures are performed each year. There are seven full field mammographic units of which five are currently capable of digital breast tomosynthesis, three dedicated ultrasound units and an upright stereotactic biopsy unit utilizing digital breast tomosynthesis.
