Pass the ARDMS Registry Exam for Nurse Midwives

The  Jefferson Ultrasound and Radiology Educational Institute (JUREI) has been providing ultrasound education to nurse midwives for over 15 years.  The Limited Ob Ultrasound course provides the education nurse midwives need to perform limited obstetric and gynecological sonograms on their patients.  JUREI now offers a registry review course for nurse midwives.

The newly designed 1.5 day review course was developed as an aid for passing the ARDMS Registry Exam for Nurse Midwives and will acquaint the attendee with the style of questions used on the exam.  A practice exam at the end of the course will acquaint the student with the style of questions used on the registry exam.  The review course does not replace the Limited Ob Ultrasound course.

Faculty for this course will be Julie Gaston, BS, RDMS, RVT and Bill Shepherd, PhD, RDMS, RVT.  Julie has created a 125 case study review course for interpreting OB ultrasound exams and produced videos for a variety of ultrasound exams.  Bill, a former embryologist, is a sonographer, lecturer, and author of ultrasound textbooks.  Both have taught at registry review courses at universities and ultrasound societies.

This course will prepare you to pass the Registry Exam.

A textbook which contains a practice test will be provided to all attendees.

The review course will consist of short focused lectures followed by short self-assessment sections.  The ultrasound physics, terminology, and instrument controls needed to pass the exam will be presented.  Other lectures will include:
