As Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs/Undergraduate Medical Education at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College (SKMC), Dr. Abigail Kay works to develop and implement new programs at SKMC. This includes a five-year SKMC-combined program with Saint George’s University of London Medical School, The School of Public Health at Thomas Jefferson University, which brings together medical students from all over the world.

Her other roles within the medical college include developing a longitudinal integrated curriculum for third-year medical students, representing the Dean’s office on the Committee on Student Promotion, and in her role as the Associate Director of Medical Student Education in the Department of Psychiatry (where she co-developed the three-year curriculum.) In addition to lecturing extensively within the medical college, Dr. Kay has lectured nationally on innovative teaching methods for medical students and taking care of patients with addiction use disorders.
