Dr. Bernard Lopez leads the strategic efforts in diversity and inclusion in academics at Jefferson. He is responsible for the formulation of a strategic vision and implementation of initiatives and activities to advance the diversity and inclusion efforts of the individual colleges that make up Thomas Jefferson University and its research, education, clinical and service missions.

He guides the recruitment and retention of students, residents, faculty and staff from groups underrepresented in the health fields and provides direction for cultural sensitivity education.
