The Using Design in Healthcare Delivery: Advanced Practice Certificate is created for physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other health professionals who wish to participate in advanced study through hands on experiences around design principles.

To be considered complete, applicants must submit an application for admission, required transcripts, CV/resume, and all applicable documents (test scores, professional credentials, etc.). All documents must be postmarked by the deadline date to be eligible for review.
Applicants are encouraged to apply early, as decisions are granted on a rolling basis throughout the cycle until the class is filled.
- Graduation from an accredited health professions program.
- Professional Credential. Credential to legally practice in your profession; must be active and in good standing.
- Previous experience with design is not required.

If your coursework was completed outside of the United States, you must submit a course-by-course evaluation from one of the following international evaluation agencies:

Depending on your profession and where you practice, a professional credential may include a license, certificate, or registration. In all cases, it is the credential that you need to legally practice in that location. This credential must be active and you must be in good standing with the issuing agency.
Upload a copy of your professional credential, along with expiration date, to your online application under the “documents” section.
English Language Proficiency
All international applicants and U.S. permanent residents must demonstrate English language proficiency as one of the conditions for admission to Thomas Jefferson University. Applicants must submit official TOEFL scores or fulfill one or more of the conditions necessary to waive the English language proficiency requirement. TOEFL or IELTS scores are valid for two years; scores older than two years will not be considered.
