Hands of Hope

Hands of Hope is a student-run organization currently designed to provide physical therapy and fitness services to homeless individuals in Philadelphia under the supervision of licensed physical therapists. Every Tuesday evening during the semester, Physical Therapy students assess, treat and provide consultation to residents. Medical students partner with them to provide much-needed medical services. Students organize several fundraisers throughout the year to raise funds for vital exercise equipment and supplies.

Making Strides for Breast Cancer

Making Strides for Breast Cancer is a walk sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Students and faculty raise monies for the team "PT Cruisers and Friends" and participate in the walk in October of each year.

This program is designed for physical therapists or occupational therapists who wish to participate in advanced study of the hand and upper limb. The curriculum consists of four graduate level courses, offered in a convenient web-based format with limited onsite weekend sessions to practice psychomotor skills required for advanced practice in hand therapy.
