Hobart Amory Hare Honor Society

Membership Eligibility: Sidney Kimmel Medical College Only

Membership Dues or Fees: $35 two-year membership

The Hobart Amory Hare Honor Society is the Department of Medicine's honor society for Sidney Kimmel Medical College students. Membership consists of preclinical students who have scored in the top third of their class and clinical students who have both honored their internal medicine clerkship and scored at least in the top quartile nationally (75th percentile) on their internal medicine shelf. The Society holds academic review sessions for preclinical students, as well as the Simenhoff Lecture, Ventilator Conference, a journal club, and the famous Raft Debate in which clinicians from different specialties face off. The Society also hosts a Clinical-Pathological Conference at the Department of Medicine's Grand Rounds and a Spring Banquet to honor the best teachers among the faculty and house staff. The Hobart Hare Honor Society has been in existence since 1899.
