Description: The Student Opioid Response Team aims to educate the Jefferson community on the opioid epidemic, the stigmas that individuals with substance use disorder face, and the usage of harm-reduction strategies within our community. We host a handful of talks throughout the year with relevant faculty and community speakers, and in addition we host Narcan trainings and distributions for both members of the general population and Jefferson. Our goal is to increase discussion, awareness, and engagement with the extensive impact that both opioids and substance use disorder have had on the Philadelphia community.
