Public Health students take the lead in transforming the future to promote health across siloes. They are provided with advanced training to connect the biomedical, social, cultural, environmental, economic and contextual issues that impact health. The MPH program prepares students to address pressing and emerging threats to health and well-being.
Jefferson's Master of Public Health (MPH) program is designed for current or future public health practitioners. Part-time students can finish in two to five years, and full-time students can earn a degree in 18 months. The program is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
The MPH program provides support to students by providing a flexible course schedule and a host of supplemental activities and experiential learning opportunities. Courses are offered throughout the day, in the evening and online to accommodate working adults. Students also complete a field experience where they gain real world public health training. Additionally, public health students work closely with faculty to design and complete an independent capstone project that focuses on a topic of their choice.
