Program Options

Option for High School Students

You have the opportunity to shorten the total amount of time it takes to earn your DPT. By entering Thomas Jefferson University through our 3+3 Program, high school seniors can earn their Doctorate in Physical Therapy in six years following high school, rather than the standard seven years. Students apply to one of our partner institutions and spend three years there working toward a Bachelor's degree. As long as all required coursework is completed, students will then transition to Thomas Jefferson University, where they will complete the DPT in another three years.

Option for College Students

You may join our DPT Program after earning your baccalaureate degree from any accredited college, university or community college. However, there are added benefits to attending one of our 40 partner schools

Benefits of obtaining your undergraduate degree from one of these General Agreement (GA) schools include:

  • Advisors who know our programs very well
  • Visits from Thomas Jefferson University at least once a year, offering updates and presentations
  • Access to all of the prerequisite classes for a Thomas Jefferson University DPT
