Pre-Pharmacy Pathway
The Pre-Pharmacy Pathway is designed to prepare students for admission into Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) programs by completing the foundational science and general education coursework commonly required across pharmacy schools. Students will complete coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics, along with communication and general education requirements that support patient-centered care and professional practice.
Students who successfully complete the Pre-Pharmacy pathway program will be guaranteed early assurance of admission into the Jefferson Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, provided all progression and eligibility requirements are met.
Pre-Pharmacy Pathway Curriculum
The Accelerated BS in Health Sciences—Pre-Pharmacy Pathway consists of 72-73 credits of prerequisite coursework. Online science laboratory courses offered by the Institute of Emerging Health Professions are virtual labs.
