Research

The Division of Diagnostic Ultrasound is engaged in research in a variety of areas, including 3D/4D imaging techniques, imaging of tissue elasticity and improved cancer detection and characterization methods based on ultrasound imaging.  For more than twenty years our internationally-recognized researchers have pioneered investigations on the use of ultrasound contrast agents. Most recently this research has focused on improved detection and monitoring of cancer in a variety of areas such as prostate, breast and lymph nodes.
