The Jefferson College of Graduate Studies (JCGS) offers graduate level programs in the biomedical sciences and Public Health. There are eight programs leading to the PhD degree in the biomedical sciences. There are four MS Basic Science programs and an MS program in Public Health program. Additionally, JCGS, in conjunction with the Jefferson Medical College (JMC), offers a combined MD/PhD program.
Graduates of our doctoral programs enjoy careers in universities, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and in health care settings. Our master's degree graduates are employed by industry, health care institutions, and universities.
Research and education at Jefferson is anchored by more than 600 active research programs with extensive outside grant support. That anchor, combined with Jefferson's access to patient-care opportunities, provides a challenging, exciting, and satisfying graduate training environment.
