Fourth Year Medical Student
Visiting Medical Student Rotations
The Jefferson Department of Rehabilitation Medicine welcomes medical students who wish to have the opportunity to learn more about the specialty. Visiting students may enroll in REHAB 401 and receive wide exposure to the field in the inpatient and outpatient settings. This four-week rotation is available in conjunction with the Sidney Kimmel Medical College schedule. We cannot make exceptions to this schedule and offer two-week rotations. Please be aware that a visiting student rotation is not required to apply to our residency program, and all interested applicants are encouraged to apply through ERAS.
Students must have completed their core clerkships and have final-year status at their respective medical schools. Visiting students are accepted for four (4) week rotations only.
SKMC uses a rolling centralized process through VSLO for visiting students for our four-week elective in Rehabilitation Medicine. The Registrar opens the process in the spring after they have finished the internal student schedules.
Information about the process from the University Registrar
