Focus on Clinical Experience

Jefferson’s patient-centered model of healthcare education brings future nurses, pharmacists, physicians, therapists and technologists into the same classrooms and simulated clinical settings. Training together using the latest technologies in realistic environments gives students the knowledge, experience, and mindset to be successful members—and leaders—of the integrated healthcare team.

National Recognitions & Rankings

We’re pleased to be recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2021–2024 for our JeffLEARN implementation of Apple technology. This initiative supports our engagement with academic, clinical and industry partners to lead a transformation to a technology-rich environment. Widespread adoption and integration of iPads in the classroom and clinical areas has increased opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and connectedness. It has also stimulated a shift in the academic culture toward innovation and transformation.

What Our Students are Saying

“My favorite part of nursing school is the clinical component. Each patient has such a unique story and it is an honor to provide comfort and support to each patient and their family when they need it most. I also absolutely love our instructional and administrative staff. My class was approximately half way through the nursing program when the COVID-19 pandemic moved our classes online – and from the very beginning our instructors went out of their way to ensure our transition was as seamless as possible. Instructors consistently go above and beyond.”
–Catherin Gibbs, FACT Accelerated BSN Student

Our Campuses:

  • Jefferson’s Dixon Campus, located in Horsham, PA, is aligned with best practices in designing a future-focused academic space. At 42,000 square feet, nearly one third of the facility is dedicated to a state-of-the-art simulation center, where both undergraduate and graduate students will engage in complex clinical scenarios that parallel, anticipate and amplify real-life situations.
  • Our Center City Campus is located in the heart of Philadelphia, next to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience. It is home to the Rector Clinical Skills and Simulation Center, where students participate in activities with standardized patients and high-fidelity models in simulation that teaches and assesses clinical skills, including interprofessional opportunities.
