Brian Tomkowicz, PhD

Brian Tomkowicz, PhD is a biotechnology leader with over two decades of experience spanning academic research, pharmaceutical development, and biomanufacturing.  His career began in discovery and translational science, driven by a passion for understanding complex biology and turning it into real therapies for patients.

At Johnson & Johnson, Brian helped establish key capabilities in gene and cell therapy before transitioning to the CDMO space, where at SK pharmteco, he built and led R&D organizations from the ground up.  Across both large pharma and startup environments, he has focused on bridging science and strategy, mentoring diverse teams, and fostering collaboration across disciplines.  Brian holds a BS in Microbiology from Pennsylvania State University and a PhD in Molecular Virology from Thomas Jefferson University.
