Galicano F. Inguito, Jr., MD, MBA, graduated in 1990 from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, Pa., and is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. In addition, he is board-certified in medical management by the American College of Physician Executives.

Upon graduation from Jefferson, he was commissioned as a Captain in the United States Army and was stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he completed his internship. He was then stationed as a field surgeon of the 2nd Infantry Division at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in Korea where he received an Army Commendation medal and was a member of the 38th Parallel Medical Society of Korea. He provided medical care to the U.S. Army soldiers as well as members of the Korean Augmentation to the United States Army (KATUSA). He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Eastern Virginia School of Medicine—Ghent where he served as chief resident.

On a national level, Dr. Inguito served on the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) Board of Directors as well as the Treasurer. He served on the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3 Committee as well as the USMLE Chronic Diseases and Interdisciplinary Review Committees. He has previously served on the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Board of Directors. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Locally, Dr. Inguito was honored by the Delaware Academy of Family Physicians as the 2008-2009 Family Physician of the Year. He served as Associate Residency Program Director of the St. Francis Family Medicine Residency Program in Wilmington, Del., prior to his current position as President of Delaware Family Medicine, LLC. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Inguito works in a 24 hour Urgent Care practice in Newark, Del. Dr. Inguito was a Physician Board member of the Delaware Medical Board of Licensure and Discipline from 2001-2010, serving as President in 2008-2009.

Dr. Inguito is grateful for the education he received at Sidney Kimmel Medical College and is looking forward to representing the SKMC alumni. He enjoys working out, running, tennis, and most of all spending time with his family, his wife Pia and their three children, Kai, Kameron, and Aili. He is delighted that his oldest son, Kai, graduated from SKMC as a member of Class of 2022 and that his son, Kameron, is a member of the SKMC Class of 2026.
