Meet our Student: Chris Corsaro

Chris is currently in the communication program at Jefferson, also pursuing a double-minor in sports management and graphic design.

Where are you originally from?

I am from Blackwood, NJ.

Why did you choose Jefferson?

I chose Jefferson because of its close proximity to Philadelphia and home, and because of my cross-country/track & field coach. Also, I felt welcomed to the university during my campus tour.

What’s the best part of your studies?

Our program is a very tightknit community – both the students and professors.

What’s something people would be surprised to find out about you?

I can do voice impressions and have a lot of unnecessary knowledge.

Tell us about an honor you’ve received.

I’ve received the CACC All-Academic honors award every year at Jefferson.

What’s your current internship?

My current internship revolves around the National Lacrosse League. I am a Game Statistician. I watch live game footage and input stats into a software to be sent to the NLL. This is actually my first internship that I’ve had during my time at Jefferson. Since it’s my final year of being a cross country and track & field runner, I had figured it was time to take an internship. Also, since I became a communication major, I have had less stress about fitting an internship into my schedule, so that was also taken into account.

What do you plan to do with your communication degree?

With my communication degree, my plan is to become involved in the sports media world in Philadelphia. My dream job is to either work game days for the Philadelphia Eagles or being a PR agent for any of the professional Philadelphia sports athletes.
