The Office of the Provost, under the leadership of Provost Matt Dane Baker, is central to Jefferson’s multifaceted mission.
As Provost, Dr. Baker is the Chief Academic Officer of Thomas Jefferson University, responsible for programming and policy implementation, support programs for personnel and students, and academic fiscal management.
The office focuses on the operation and overall performance of Jefferson’s academic programs, the management of our research, and the coordination of our affiliated institutions and partnerships that will continue to transform the way we deliver interprofessional education.
We are devoted to creating a positive and inclusive campus environment for our students, faculty and staff.

What began as Jefferson Medical College in 1824, with our commitment to education, discovery, innovation and compassionate patient care, has grown exponentially with Sidney Kimmel Medical College, and our ten other colleges, schools and institutes – making us one of the nation's leading learning institutions.
