Parth Lalakia is a dedicated public health professional with a wealth of experience in global health, medical education, and healthcare quality. He holds a Master's in Public Health (MPH) from Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) and has been an integral part of the TJU family for eight years. Parth's expertise lies in global health, with a particular emphasis on maternal-child health, healthcare quality and safety, cultural competency, medical curriculum design, and digital health innovation.

Throughout his career, Parth has been instrumental in pioneering intercontinental projects aimed at addressing critical health issues. He has collaborated with esteemed institutions such as KLE University (KLE) in Belagavi, India; LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) in Hyderabad, India; University College Dublin (UCD); Technology University of Dublin (TUD); Ulster University in Belfast, Northern Ireland; and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, Italy. Utilizing his knowledge of grant development, research implementation, and study coordination, his global health initiatives have significantly contributed to maternal-child health trials and the prevention of prevalent eye pathologies. Several of these proposals include NIH-funded projects as well as Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation research grants.

Parth’s work extends beyond research, as he has directed innovative student  and faculty exchanges across Jefferson’s Country Centers and Consortiums in five continents, fostering global collaborations in healthcare education and practice.

Parth's passion for global health and education is evident in his commitment to training the next generation of public health professionals through teaching and research mentorship. Alongside pursuing a Doctorate degree in Population Health Sciences with a concentration in Healthcare Quality and Safety, Parth concurrently teaches across multiple colleges at TJU, including both graduate and undergraduate courses. His scholarly pursuits include mentoring undergraduate students at Jefferson-East Falls, guiding graduate MPH students at JCPH, and instructing healthcare professionals at KLE and LVPEI.

In recognition of his contributions, Parth has received several awards, including the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) Global Health Scholar of the Year. With a vision to expand collaborations and further his training in population health, Parth looks forward to exploring opportunities in India, Italy, and Ireland, particularly in the realm of AI applications in healthcare, digital innovations, and education.

Outside of work, he enjoys hobbies such as playing squash, experimenting with cooking, indulging in cricket matches, and engaging in volunteer activities within his community.
