Research & Clinical Interests

Dr. Fredhoff's research focuses on improving outcomes for individuals with musculoskeletal pain by investigating the factors that contribute to the modest effects of current rehabilitation interventions. He seeks to examine the influence of social risk factors on musculoskeletal recovery and aims to inform more individualized, patient-centered care. His future research interests include clinical phenotyping and precision rehabilitation to better identify patient characteristics that influence treatment response. He also has a strong interest in evidence-based educational strategies that enhance clinical reasoning and optimize the training of future physical therapists.
