Dr. Chapman has contributed significantly to the field of geriatric oncology, focusing on optimizing treatment strategies for older adults. His work includes studies on functional decline in older breast cancer survivors and the impact of chemotherapy on hospitalization rates in elderly patients . He has also advocated for the integration of geriatric assessments into routine cancer care to better tailor treatments to the elderly population. While his clinical interests center on the comprehensive care of older adults with cancer. He founded the Jefferson Senior Adult Oncology Center, the first multidisciplinary geriatric oncology evaluation center in the tristate area, which provides specialized care for patients aged 70 and above .
