RESEARCH & CLINICAL INTEREST

Dr. López's research interests are centered on health equity, cancer prevention, and integrative oncology. She has been continuously extramurally funded since her fellowship, holding simultaneous awards as Principal Investigator of both a Center of Excellence Grant and a Health Care Opportunities Program Grant. Her research explores the use of telecommunications technology to facilitate access to clinical care and health education, as well as assessing integrative approaches to care.

Her clinical practice focuses on women's cancers, including breast and gynecologic malignancies. She is particularly dedicated to providing integrative oncology care, which combines conventional cancer treatments with complementary therapies to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients. Her approach emphasizes patient-centered care, aiming to enhance quality of life and support overall well-being during and after cancer treatment.
