Dr. Orloff specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of rare melanomas, including uveal, conjunctival, and mucosal melanoma. Her clinical expertise encompasses both primary and advanced stages of these malignancies. She collaborates closely with the multidisciplinary team at Wills Eye Hospital to manage hundreds of patients with primary and metastatic ocular melanoma.
Her research interests are centered on investigating the epidemiology of uveal melanoma and discovering novel therapies for melanoma. Dr. Orloff is actively involved in clinical trials evaluating new treatments for various types of melanoma, aiming to improve patient outcomes.
As a member of the Melanoma Research Institute of Excellence (MRIE) at Jefferson, Dr. Orloff contributes to advancing treatment strategies for melanoma. The MRIE program integrates innovative scientists with clinicians to convert discoveries into clinical innovations rapidly, ensuring patients have access to next-generation therapies for these complex cancers
