RESEARCH INTERESTs

Dr. Munjireen Sifat is a public health researcher focused on advancing cancer prevention and control through culturally appropriate, community-driven strategies. Her work emphasizes the development and implementation of interventions that promote harm reduction related to smoking combustible cigarettes, increase cancer screening uptake, and leveraging mHealth technologies to reach underserved populations.

Committed to health equity, Dr. Sifat addresses health disparities and the unique needs of immigrant and refugee populations by integrating social determinants of health into her research framework. Through community-based research and stakeholder engagement, she strives to create sustainable solutions that empower individuals and reduce barriers to care, ultimately improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
