Research & Clinical Interests
A major focus of our research is to identify genomic biomarkers using liquid biopsy-based approaches such as circulating tumor cells and circulating tumor DNAs, and evaluate their values in cancer precision medicine. We are also interested in the identification of molecular and genomic contributors to racial health disparities in cancer patients. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, basic scientists, statisticians, geneticists, and epidemiologists, we have developed multiple longitudinal cancer biorepositories, and are taking a genome-wide approach to developing statistical models that predict the clinical outcomes and dissect racial disparities of cancer patients.
