Research & Clinical Interests
Areas of clinical concentration involve the care and management of patients with advanced heart failure, peripartum cardiomyopathy, cardiac amyloidosis and sarcoidosis, mechanical circulatory support devices, and heart transplants.
Research interests include participation in or development of trials involving alternative tacrolimus-based immunosuppression regimens, the use and toxicity of tyrosine kinase inhibitors in the treatment of scleroderma-associated lung disease and pulmonary hypertension, the management of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, and the use of cardiac stem cell and gene therapies.
