A Jefferson Medical College alumnus, Dr. Wayne Bond Lau provides academic, personal, and career counseling to medical students in his role as one of the Student Affairs Deans.

As a basic science researcher (in cardiovascular ischemia reperfusion injury), Dr. Lau advises students pursuing scholarly and research projects in the weaving of personal narratives for residency applications. As a clinician in the busy arenas served by Jefferson's emergency department, he maintains a robust clinical proficiency that augments his student career counseling. Dr. Lau acts as liaison for the Student Affairs Office with Jefferson's Occupational Health Network for various initiatives securing student safety and best health.
