Overview

The Center for Value in Healthcare focuses on performance measurement and improvement to increase the capacity of the US healthcare system to deliver higher quality, safer, more cost-effective care and, ultimately, better patient outcomes. The Center's work aligns closely with the Jefferson School of Population Health's academic programs and integrates the resources of Jefferson's other schools, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and its faculty medical practice.

Jefferson University Physicians (JUP) is the 600+ physician practice organization of Thomas Jefferson University. The JUP Performance Improvement Team, housed within the Center for Value in Healthcare, is JUP's performance measurement and improvement arm. The team facilitates ambulatory performance improvement by building awareness and educating practices about pay for performance activities aimed at achieving value. All improvement activities are conducted in collaboration with the academic faculty practice plan to advance the level of care provided to JUP patients.
