Ellie Lefton, from Mason, OH, completed Jefferson's 4+1 BS in Architectural Studies & MS in Real Estate Development program while playing on the Women's Lacrosse team, and now works as a Development Associate at Campus Apartments, focusing on student housing. She credits Jefferson's tight-knit community and mentorship for shaping her confidence and passion for the built environment.

What is the best part of your time at Jefferson?
The best part about my time at Jefferson was the feeling of being a part of a community where I could be myself and grow as a person. This community has brought me the best of friends, great guidance from academic and industry leaders, a diverse network and a second place to call home.
What has having a Jefferson degree done for you/how has it prepared you for your career?
My degrees from Thomas Jefferson University have immersed me into the world of the built environment. My passions for design, leadership and creativity were all explored while earning my degrees and playing lacrosse for Jefferson’s Women lacrosse team. I am now able to confidently enter a career path with passion, confidence and excitement.
What are you doing now?
I am now working for Campus Apartments, a real estate development firm which specializes in student housing, as Development Associate.
What’s something people would be surprised to find out about you?
I enjoy gardening.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to our current students?
Trust the process and put yourself out there. It takes one opportunity to change your path, so be yourself, use your resources and network!
