Ceremony to Honor First Graduates of Perfusion & Extracorporeal Technology Certificate Program

On May 10, 2018, the Jefferson's Institute of Emerging Health Professions celebrated the first graduation of the Perfusion & Extracorporeal Technology program. The ceremony featured speakers including,  Dr. Rohinton J. Morris, MD, Medical Director, Perfusion certificate program. The fully accredited program is also supported and gifted with the assistance from the SpecialtyCare, a premier provider. Graduates of this program were trained to safely operate the heart and lung machine, and other advanced technologies, during surgical procedures where patients need cardiac and pulmonary support. Our graduates are now employed as competent entry-level perfusionists. They are also eligible to apply to take the national certification examination offered by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
