Congratulations to Drs. Adriana Mantegazza and Luis Sigal for receiving the SKMC Sidney and Caroline Kimmel Research Jump-Start Pilot Award! Their project entitled “Role of the solute carrier transporter SLC15A4 in phagocyte function in viral infections” will examine the mechanisms and signaling pathways that regulate phagocyte recruitment and function during pox virus infection, mediated by the histidine solute carrier SLC15A4.
