Study Away Experience Reinvigorates Medical Student
Jamie Garden traveled to Jerusalem through the Jefferson Israel Center. “In a single moment in the ER, I watched generations of conflict disregarded in the face of delivering medical care,” she writes of her time there. Garden matched at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital for emergency medicine.

Movie Explores How Med Students’ Passions Will Make Them Better, Healthier Physicians
In his documentary “Medice, Cura Te Ipsum,” Ryan Emhoff follows five medical students who have maintained a strong connection to their identities outside of medicine. He developed the movie through the JeffMD curriculum. Emhoff matched at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals for psychiatry.
Distressing COVID Scenes From India Inspire Medical Student to Take Action
With much of her extended family still living in Bangalore, Noor Shaik sparked an effort to collect pallets of PPE donations. Shaik matched at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for neurology.
