Weave technician and assistant professor Regina Burkholder recently returned to her high school alma mater, Dock Mennonite Academy, to share insights into Textile Design at Thomas Jefferson University.
During her visit to Dock, Regina provided students with an overview of Textile Design, how designers translate their ideas from inspiration to end use, and shared examples of current student work. Students at Dock were introduced to the diverse facets of textile creation, including print, knit, and woven textiles. Regina showcased examples of current student work, offering a glimpse into the boundless possibilities within the field.
