Welcome to the start of Jefferson’s third century. During our Bicentennial Year, we celebrated a lot of what got Jefferson to this point but as 2024 becomes 2025, attention now turns to our future.
In this episode of the Thomas Jefferson News Podcast, we look at five exciting projects underway within the University’s College of Architecture and the Built Environment, Athletics Department, College of Rehabilitation Sciences, College of Population Health, the Health Design Lab and Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
They range from an architecture studio seeking ways to not just reduce – but eliminate – homelessness in cities and the production of cost-effective 3D printed models for renal masses to visions for the future of athletics at the University … and a whole lot more.

Rob Pugliese, director of the Health Design Lab and the Scholarly Inquiry Design Track at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, and Dr. Costas Lallas, Professor of Urology, teamed up on an effort to recreate 3D digital renders of patient kidneys.
