The multidisciplinary Head & Neck and Thoracic malignancy teams at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Health focus on personalized oncologic care for patients with all stages of aerodigestive cancers. A hallmark of our program is the commitment to utilizing innovative technology and precision medicine to provide individualized care. Our team includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, thoracic surgeons, otolaryngologists, pulmonologists, pathologists, radiologists, research scientists, nurses, navigation and support staff in our multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinics.

Sarah W Gordon, DO is the Jefferson Health Enterprise Leader in Lung cancer and co-director of our early drug development clinical trials program. Jennifer M Johnson MD, PhD holds dual appointments in our departments of medical oncology and otolaryngology and is a co-director of our precision medicine initiative. Rita S Axelrod, MD is the director of the Jefferson Oncology group and is committed to clinical research in the aerodigestive cancers. Ida Micaily MD, MS specializes in thoracic malignancies with an interest in clinical research.
