The Division of Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University is home to more than 40 outstanding full, part time and volunteer internal medicine/primary care physicians and advanced practice providers including Physician Assistants & CRNP’s with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of adult patients (age 18+), education and research. Our diverse and well accomplished providers work closely together to provide innovative and compassionate care to our local community.

The division consists of various educational leaders in undergraduate and graduate medical education and ambulatory quality and safety programs. We are highly involved with the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Internal Medicine residency program and our faculty comprise a large number of leadership roles within the program. Faculty are also leaders in the Sidney Kimmel Medical College and participate in the education of medical students on a regular basis. Collectively, our providers strive to deliver superb patient experiences by providing innovative and comprehensive treatment, education and compassionate care.

Our dedicated faculty pride themselves on working closely together and valuing the diversity within each other and the community we serve to better aid in caring for our patients who come to us from various parts of the region, state and country.

The Division of Internal Medicine clinicians, who are both regional and national leaders, are dedicated to optimizing the effectiveness of patient care, enhancing positive patient experience and improving patient well-being by continuing to participate in research and clinical education while providing excellent care, support and teamwork. Our clinicians have made impressive advances in treating diseases like Sickle Cell Anemia, Diabetes and Resistant Hypertension. We have also taken an inclusive approach to weight management, preventive health care and care to the Korean and Chinese communities. Our clinicians continuously explore innovative ways to improve the standard of healthcare.

The vastly growing Division of Internal Medicine currently serves 11 locations across southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey including Center City and South Philadelphia, Havertown, Pennsylvania and Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania and Voorhees, New Jersey. This provides us with the opportunity to serve a diverse community aiding in our education and securing our presence as one of the best academic health systems in the region.

The Division of Internal Medicine offers diverse, educational programs to medical students, medical residents, practicing physicians and advanced practice providers (PA’s and CRNP’s) in a variety of settings including Undergraduate (medical school) and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) (medical residency) accredited activities. Our core values, commitment to excellence in patient care and education combined with dedicated leadership make the Division of Internal Medicine an integral and successful component of Thomas Jefferson University’s Department of Medicine.
