Classes at Jefferson

Classes are offered in the introductory, intermediate and advanced levels in speaking/listening and reading/writing. Eligible Jefferson employees can use their tuition benefit to take these classes. Please note that you must remain at Jefferson for one year after the end of your class(es) or else you will be billed for the amount of any classes taken less than a year before you leave. Forms are available in Human Resources, 833 Chestnut Street, First Floor, or in the Department of General Studies office on the 6th floor in Edison. Please read the Tuition Assistance Form information very carefully.

An assessment is required to determine placement at the appropriate class level. The placement test, which takes approximately two hours to complete, evaluates speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The assessment is free. You may register for courses after the assessment.

  • Wednesday, January 16, 2013: 4-7 pm in the Department of General Studies.
  • Thursday, January 17, 2013: 12-3 pm in the Department of General Studies.

Registration is not required. Just come to the Department of Professional & Continuing Studies on the day and time you wish to take the test.
