The Cardeza Hemophilia Center serves over 600 patients with diseases of bleeding and thrombosis.  Originally founded for the comprehensive care of the complex aspects of managing patients with hemophilia, the Center has grown to include all inherited bleeding diseases, as well as inherited and acquired thrombotic disorders.  The Cardeza Hemophilia Center is supported by the Center for Disease Control, the Department of Health and Human Services Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Medicare, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and has become a model for hemophilia care as well as a location for pursuing clinical and translational research.
