ID alumni work in a vast array of positions in the field – from start-up brands to multi-billion dollar companies. However, the main concern for many students is how exactly to effectively showcase their skills to this wide range of potential employers and collaborators. Our Industrial Design Speaker Series addresses exactly that.

2020 Industrial Design Sprint
The Final Critique of the 2020 Industrial Design Sprint Project made for an impressive display of design insight and creativity. The principals of this year’s client UNION were on hand to review the results of this intensive week of design and provide the teams with valuable feedback.
A Different Approach to Industrial Design
The way we teach Materials and Processes for Manufacturing in the Industrial Design program is unique. At Jefferson, applying our Nexus Learning approach, Materials and Processes is very much project based, with an emphasis on learning by doing.
Playing in the Classroom Inspires Creativity
Providing our students with a space to play and experiment with materials nurtures a creative environment and allows students to explore new ways of designing and expand upon their design process. Students must realize that design doesn’t always start with a pencil and paper.
