Located in Philadelphia, Thomas Jefferson University’s Center City campus provides the highest quality education and research facilities, along with a wellness center and other services to promote student wellbeing.

University Admissions Visitor Information

  • The Admissions Visit Center is located on the first floor of the Edison Building at 130 S. 9th Street, Philadelphia.
  • The Visit Center is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Registration for a scheduled visit time is encouraged.
  • Our self-guided tour experience is available outside of regular office hours.
  • Street and surface lot parking is conveniently located outside of the Edison Building. Admissions does not validate parking at this time.
  • To ensure the safety of our students, staff and other guests, visitors will be required to present a valid government-issued photo ID and be provided an "Admissions Visitor" badge to wear for the duration of the visit.

The city of Philadelphia is hosting various events this summer. We encourage you to monitor local traffic reports and leave additional time to navigate to campus. 

  • Upon arrival, all visitors will be asked to present a valid government-issued photo ID to access the building.
    • Accepted forms of ID include, but are not limited to, a driver’s license, passport, or state-issued identification card.
    • Visitors under 18 are not required to present an ID but must remain with an adult at all times.
  • A visitor badge will be provided upon check-in and will allow access to designated campus buildings.
  • The university reserves the right to screen visitors' belongings (e.g., bags, packages) as part of the check-in process.
  • Visitors are prohibited from bringing in dangerous or illegal items, including weapons, drugs, alcohol, battery powered transportation or items that pose a safety or security risk. Visitors who are found with prohibited items may be denied entry or asked to leave the premises.

Getting To Campus Via Public Transportation

The Center City campus is bound by 8th and 11th Streets and Chestnut and Locust Streets. Public transportation via SEPTA, PATCO and NJ Transit is easily accessible from this location.

  • Open: 7 days, 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM

Walnut Towers Garage (Self Park)

  • 9th Street between Walnut & Locust Streets
  • Open: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM
  • Saturday 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM

Parkway Garage (Self Park)

  • 12th & Walnut Streets
  • Open: 7 days, 24 hours

Hamilton Garage (Self Park)
