Meet Our Alumni: Steven Nesfeder

Steven Nesfeder graduated from Jefferson with a degree in Law & Society and a minor in Psychology. He is now working in-house at a law firm's counsel office while entering his second year of law school.

Where are you from originally?

Philadelphia, PA.

What was the best part of your time at Jefferson?

The best part of my time at Jefferson was classes with professors who cared deeply about teaching and the course material.

What has having a Jefferson degree done for you?

My time as a Jefferson undergraduate Law & Society major helped me develop a foundational knowledge that gave me a strong start in law school. I had a familiarity with the style of law school, which I believe heavily contributed to my successful first year.

What are you doing now?

I am working at an in-house counsel office under the supervision of attorneys this summer, ahead of my second year of law school.

What's something people would be surprised to find out about you?

I finished my first year of law school toward the top of my class and have been selected as a law review staff editor.

What's one piece of advice you'd give to our current students?

If you have professors who you enjoy learning from, get to know them better. Most professors want to see their students succeed. Additionally, a strong relationship with a member of a career field you may be interested in is an excellent way to learn more about that field.
