The program takes 23 months, and is 69 credits total over ten terms.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis – apply early. 

You will earn an Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy. You will be qualified for a position as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

You will be full prepared and eligible to sit for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) examination to become initially certified. In order to practice, each state licensing application requires the successful completion of the NBCOT Certification Examination.

Classes are held at Jefferson's East Falls Campus, only ten minutes from the City of Philadelphia, and can easily be reached by car or public transportation. Parking is available on campus for a fee, and off-campus street parking is available. Students will also have fieldwork rotations during their education, with locations that vary based on the rotation.

The program arranges clinical placements on your behalf.

You can be placed in a variety of area facilities – we try to give you an array of different placements to best prepare you for success upon graduation. Most placement facilities are with two hours of the Philadelphia area.

The classroom portion of the program includes discussion, role playing and hands-on experiences guided by faculty and mentors in the field so you can practice skills, ask questions and learn.
