We have filled the two fellowship positions for the 2024-2025 academic year. We participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), and will begin recruitment for the 2025-2026 academic year when the 2025 ERAS season opens in July.

People experiencing addiction face enormous personal and societal challenges to reclaim their lives and health. Compassionate, highly skilled addiction medicine specialists can make an enormous positive impact on this population. The Addiction Medicine fellowship at Sidney Kimmel Medical College provides an opportunity to train in an environment known for clinical excellence, innovative community-based research, and a commitment to improving the experience of care for highly stigmatized populations.
Philadelphia has been devastated by the 4th wave of the overdose crisis, characterized by rising fatalities involving opioids and stimulants, marked racial disparities, and catastrophic disabilities from xylazine related wounds. With characteristic grit, Philadelphia and Jefferson has responded with multi-sector collaboration, multi-level innovation, community inclusion, and hope. Our large and dedicated team has co-created the Jefferson Addiction Multidisciplinary Services including The Stephen and Sandra Sheller Consult and Bridge Program
ACGME accredited in 2020, the Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program at Sidney Kimmel Medical College/Thomas Jefferson University offers training in a dynamic environment known for clinical excellence, innovative community-based research, and a commitment to improving the experience of care for highly stigmatized populations. Fellows in our program not only gain valuable experience with the medical management of substance use disorder, but also develop important skills in care coordination, harm reduction, and patient-centered care.
