Current Fellows

Dayna Hovern, MD

Bio: Dayna is originally from South Jersey and then attending Muhlenberg College where she majored in Biology with a public health minor and played collegiate field hockey. She went to Cooper Medical School of Rowan University before completing her residency in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Medical Center. She briefly worked as a hospitalist prior to joining the Jefferson team as their Palliative Care and Hospice fellow from 2022-2023. It was during her time in Palliative Care Fellowship that Dayna realized she had a passion for the care of older adults and decided to pursue a Geriatrics Fellowship. She is excited to be staying at Jefferson to learn more about delivering quality care to elders.

Clinical Interests: Palliative Care, Hospice, Serious illness in older adults, post acute/long term care, Patients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Memory issues/ Dementia 

Personal Interests: When not working, Dayna can be found hiking with her husband and 2 rescue dogs. She also enjoys playing field hockey, kayaking, drawing, and birdwatching. 

Beverly Ng, MD

Bio: Beverly completed medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She completed two years of general surgery training prior to transitioning to family medicine residency where she is able to provide more continuity of care for her patients. After many years of residency training she is thrilled to return to Jefferson for her geriatrics fellowship.

Clinical Interests: Beverly's professional interests are outpatient care, advanced care planning, preventive health and medical education.

Personal Interests: Beverly lives in Lansdale with her husband, and they enjoy exploring trails in the area and trying new restaurants.
