She graduated from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed family medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Prior to returning to Jefferson for fellowship in Geriatric Medicine, she worked in outpatient primary care in Delaware County for 3 years. Her experience working in community primary care fueled her interest in providing care for older adults and she is thrilled to be back at Jefferson to further her training. Clinical interests: Patient centered communication and care, impact of social and cultural environment on health, preventive medicine, immigrant and refugee health Personal interests: Spending time with family and friends, running, reading, travel, browsing recipes and cooking good food, and seeking purpose in suffering.

Rebecca Berger, MD

Rebecca is originally from New Jersey and attended Wellesley College in Massachusetts, where she majored in Biology and played on the Golf Team. She went to Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, before completing her Family Medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center (Bronx, NY). During her medical training, she has had a variety of experiences which have nurtured her interest in working with older adults and their caregivers. She is excited to continue to learn more about Dementia care, outpatient primary care for older adults and serious illness communication at Jefferson. Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and exploring the outdoors including hiking and gardening.
