At the Department of Health Science & Clinical Practice, we're anchored by our various programs in Health Science and our Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, which is offered in multiple locations. The ongoing challenges of disparities in U.S. healthcare access, distribution, and delivery have been highlighted in recent years. As the demand for health professionals continue to grow, we commit to prepare our future health care leaders for clinical practice, administrative, educational and research roles.

New Programs

In addition to our Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) Program, a fully online doctorate program to accommodate students who are working healthcare professionals, we have recently launched two new programs: The PhD in Health Science program and the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies/Doctor of Health Science Dual Degree program.

Our Programs

Health Sciences, BS/Pre-Physician Assistant

Acceptance into the Pre-Physician Assistant major provides an assured interview for selected reserved seats in the East Falls or Voorhees campus PA professional programs for students who meet progressions requirements

Health Sciences BS/Physician Assistant Studies MS

This six-year Dual-Degree program assures admission to both the BS and MS program at the time of initial application. Students admitted to the dual degree program will be assigned to their campus location by the PA graduate program.

Doctor of Health Science

The Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) is the doctorate program for professionals seeking advancement in healthcare practice, education and policy.

Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies/Doctor of Health Science

Innovative MSPAS/DHSc Dual Degree prepares physician assistants to lead in clinical practice.

PhD in Health Science

The PhD in Health Science is an advanced research degree that focuses on advancing the frontiers of scholarship as preparation for a research career. 

Physician Assistant Studies Programs

The Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program is offered at three locations: Center City, East Falls and New Jersey.
