The Undergraduate Certificate in Healthcare Information Systems is a 21-credit program that provides a deep dive into the intersection of healthcare and information technology. Foundational coursework begins with Introduction to Healthcare Management, which introduces students to the complexities of the healthcare industry. Management Information Systems explores how information systems can be leveraged to achieve corporate objectives, and Systems Analysis & Design provides practical insights into the development and implementation of efficient systems in any setting.

Core coursework includes Healthcare Information Systems, which delves into the management and use of health information systems in complex healthcare settings. This course provide students with skills to enhance quality and safety, support clinical decisions, manage financial operations, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Cybersecurity Management empowers students to protect sensitive health data, and Health Informatics introduces students to this evolving, multidisciplinary field that focuses on the cognitive, information­ processing, and communication tasks of healthcare practice, education, and research.

For the final requirement, students can choose from a range of courses such as Cloud Management and Project Management, allowing students to tailor their learning to their specific professional interests.
