Daniel Monti, MD

Dr. Monti has published research in several areas of integrative medicine and brain health, including the role of natural molecules in improving health outcomes, cancer survivorship, neurophysiology, and mind-body medicine. He has dozens of scholarly publications and has been a peer-reviewer for numerous medical journals and study sections at the National Institutes of Health and Department of Defense.

Madeleine Becker, MD, MA, FACLP
Graduate Medical Education, Integrative Mental Health Specialist

Dr. Becker is Director of the Women’s Integrative Mental Health Program, and the Integrative Medicine hospital consult service at the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health - Jefferson Health, and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences, Thomas Jefferson University, where she is also Director of Graduate Medical Education and the Assistant Director for the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Becker is an internationally renowned psychiatrist with clinical expertise in women’s mental health, postpartum depression, mind-body medicine, and the interface of stress and medical illness outcomes. She is board certified in Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. She has dozens of scholarly publications, book chapters, and presentations at international medical forums.

Sara Gottfried, MD
Precision Medicine and Executive Health

Dr. Gottfried is Director of the Precision Medicine Program at the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health-Jefferson Health. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences, Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Gottfried has developed novel clinical programs that are highly personalized with a focus on scientific wellness and grounded in deep phenotyping of the gene/environment interface. She explores innovative ways of optimizing performance, energy, metabolism, hormones, muscle mass, bone density, sexual function, gut-brain issues, and healthy aging. She is the New York Times bestselling author of three books: The Hormone CureThe Hormone Reset Diet, and Younger. She is an expert in functional medicine and is one of the nation’s top physicians for evidence-based, bio-identical hormone therapy for women and men.

Nathan Handley, MD, MBA

Dr. Handley is an Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University, where he cares for patients with genitourinary malignancies. In addition to patient care activities, he is highly engaged in efforts to improve cancer care delivery by both improving existing processes and developing novel care delivery approaches. He is particularly interested in innovative approaches to bringing integrative oncology and supportive medicine to patients and families touched by cancer.

Reina A. Marino, MD

Dr. Marino is a graduate of Brown University and The Medical College of Pennsylvania. She is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Integrative Holistic Medicine and is a member of The Institute for Functional Medicine. Dr. Marino is a practicing physician at Thomas Jefferson University’s Marcus Institute of Integrative Health and her areas of interest include medical weight loss, nutritional medicine, brain health, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and gastrointestinal health.

Aleeze Moss, PhD

Dr. Moss is the Associate Director of the Myrna Brind Center for Mindfulness at the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health at Jefferson Health. She is a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and has been teaching MBSR to patients, healthcare professionals, and medical students for over 10 years. In addition to teaching, she conducts qualitative research on the effects of MBSR on physical and psychological health and has published in peer-reviewed journals.

Andrew Newberg, MD

Dr. Newberg is the Research Director at the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health- Jefferson Health and Professor in the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Newberg is a top physician-scientist with specialized expertise in functional imaging of the brain and body. He has created one of the most unique and diverse research programs in the world, and he has mentored hundreds of students. Dr. Newberg is board certified in both internal medicine and nuclear medicine. He has published over 200 scholarly articles, several best-selling books, he has been featured in media throughout the world, named a Philadelphia “Top Doc” several times, and listed as one of the “30 Most Influential Neuroscientists Alive Today”. 

Diane Reibel, PhD

Dr. Reibel is the Director of the Myrna Brind Center for Mindfulness at the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health, which is one of the longest standing Centers for Mindfulness in the nation. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Integrative Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical School at Thomas Jefferson University. She has been teaching mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) programs for over 25 years and studies the effects of mindfulness on physical and psychological health. Her research is published and widely cited in both scientific journals and the popular press, including Teaching Mindfulness: A Practical Guide for Clinicians and Educators, which she co-authored.

Anna Tobia, PhD
Mind-Body Therapies, Integrative Psychologist

Dr. Tobia is a licensed Clinical Psychologist at the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health-Jefferson Health, and Instructor in the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences, Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Tobia is a health psychology expert and an Advanced Certified practitioner of the Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). She is the lead NET therapist in the Marcus Institute’s clinical trials on traumatic stress and chronic pain. Dr. Tobia uniquely combines mind-body therapies with advanced counseling techniques to help both children and adults with a wide range of emotional issues and stress-related problems to achieve a better quality of life and remove barriers to success. Dr. Tobia also developed the Marcus Institute’s JeffQuit program for smoking cessation.
